CORON ISLAND IN PALAWAN

 HISTORY:

The Calamianes Islands were originally inhabited by the Tagbanuas, Calmiananen and Cuyonon tribes. Oral history tells that the Datu Macanas ruled the entire Busuanga Island where present day Coron town lies. Early on Spanish exploration of the islands, Fray de la Conception took note of the friendliness of the people of Busuanga Island and the ferocity of the Tagbanua tribe living in Coron Island.




Coron is a tropical island in the province of Palawan in the Philippines. Coron is best knwon for world-class World War II-era wreck diving, the island also offers limestone karst landscapes, beautiful beaches, crystal-clear freshwater lakes, and shallow-water coral reefs.

What most travelers call Coron is Coron Town which is located on the largest island in the archipelago, Busuanga Island. What can be confusing is there is also a Coron Island, which is a stunning undeveloped island which most Coron day trips visit.

HOW DO YOU GET TO CORON PALAWAN?


You have to fly from Manila to Busuanga airport, Palawan. You can take Cebu Pacific Air, PAL Express or Zest Air. From Busuanga airport, you can take a jeep for 1hour to reach Coron Town. It will cost P100 per person.


HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO GO TO CORON PALAWAN?


You should plan to spend around P1,500 per day on your vacation in Palawan. Past travelers have spent, on average P500 on meals for one day and P700 on local transportation.


WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO GO TO CORON PALAWAN?


Palawan's dry season starts in October and ends in May. For the best combination of agreeable temperatures of around 27 Degrees Celsius and a little rain as possible, the best time to visit Palawan is February to May.

BORACAY BEACH OR BORACAY ISLAND

 Boracay is a small island in the Philippines, 7 km long and 1km wide, located in the western Visayas approxiamately 315 km south of Manila and about 0.8 km off the northwest tip of Pinay island. Boracay was awarded as the 2012 Best Island in the World by the international travel magazine Travel+Leisure. In 2014, the resort island was at the top of the "Best Islands in the World" list published by the international magazine Conde Nast Traveler. In 2016, Boracay headed the magazine's list of "Top 10 destinations to watch".

EL NIDO PALAWAN




 El Nido, oficially the Municipality of El Nido, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 41,606 people. It is about 420 km south-west of Manila and about 238 km north-east of Puerto Princesa, Palawan's capital. A managed resource protected area. It is known for its white-sand beaches, coral reefs, limestone cliffs and as the gateway to the Bacuit archipelago.
